Nplurimus anno's counting books

As the ten children leave one house and move next door in this wordless book, young readers can count how many are living in the first house. Anno s counting book has no words yet still creates a full story on a town filled with people, places and animals representing each number from 112. An excellent introduction to number systems that is a beautiful wordless picture book as well. This is a wordless picture book, but the is a suggested activity in the book before the story starts. Anno s counting book has no words yet still creates a full story on a town filled with people. I feel it has a nice balance of details without being overwhelming like some of the other anno books. Its kind of fun that its not completely straightforward and that you have to search to find all the ways the town grows. Im always surprised that my kids continue to request this book at bedtime, since there is really no story. The illustrations in annos counting book have a very classic look, and there are no words at all. Like many of annos works, this book has an added level of complexity. One by one the boys and girls who live in the house on the left move to the house on the right. My children have two of annos books, this one as well as annos italy. It can be enjoyed in many ways, a general counting book, a calendar, the changing seasons. As an adult, i find the books beautiful in a very clean and simple way.
